Westport24 provides 24-hour emergency and out-of-hours care for registered Westport clients.
We are the only practice in our area with an emergency service that is fully owned, staffed, and run by the same veterinary team that looks after your pet during the day, with a veterinary surgeon and registered veterinary nurse on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including weekends and bank holidays.
There is no outsourcing and no transfer to a third-party emergency centre. Your pet remains under the care of Westport vets and nurses, with full access to their clinical records and clear continuity of care.
Access to Westport24 is linked to registration with Westport Vets. This allows us to maintain consistent staffing, safe overnight monitoring, and reliable emergency cover for our clients.
Westport24 is available to registered Westport clients.
Access to Westport24 is structured to prioritise quality over volume. By caring for registered clients only, we avoid overstretching our team and ensure safe staffing, clear communication, and consistent standards of care.
If you are not currently registered with Westport vets, joining the practice provides access to Westport24 when emergency or overnight care is needed.

Westport Veterinary Clinic has four branches in Linlithgow, South Queensferry, Winchburgh and Edinburgh. The clinic boasts dedicated dog and cat wards, recovery kennels, digital x-ray (including dental), endoscope, ultrasound, full sterile theatre, laboratory and a complete, advanced, soft tissue surgical and orthopaedic operating kit.
However, our real strength lies in the brilliant and knowledgeable vets and nurses who bring a wealth of experience to Westport Veterinary Clinic.
